Scientists at ACRI are looking for the "red flags" that identify cancer cells (biomarkers) using next-generation DNA sequencing technology. This advanced technology enables the identification of specific cancer genes through changes that occur in cancer cells compared to normal cells. Using bioinformatics, ACRI researchers are analyzing gene expression data derived from next-generation sequencing to more precisely target important cancer biomarkers.
